It May Be Time to Move to Atheististan

Apparently, atheists (like me) can't be trusted:

From a telephone sampling of more than 2,000 households, university researchers found that Americans rate atheists below Muslims, recent immigrants, gays and lesbians and other minority groups in “sharing their vision of American society.” Atheists are also the minority group most Americans are least willing to allow their children to marry.

Normally, something like this would make me think, "I have found my people!" Always on the lookout to marginalize myself as much as possible, I have inadvertantly hit on being part of one of the most marginalized (in theory, I'd say--not in practice) minority in the US, as far as how people are prejudiced.

In related news, taking Lex's advice to heart, I've been investigating various organizations that actually meet and do stuff locally that I would like to take part in, and one of 'em is the SF Atheists organization, but...erm...do they really need one more white guy? I'm hoping the EB chapter will be a bit more diverse.
